Malachite Green is often combined with formaldehyde @ formalin. The functions are quite similar to Methyl Blue but stronger. Since it is a harsher medicine and must be applied with caution when the combination of formaldehyde.

Malachite Green is effective in controlling fungi in fish eggs and very effective medication used to control various external parasites. It will control or prevent the following common protozoan parasites: Ichthyophthinus (freshwater Ich), Costra, Chilodonella, Ambiphyra, Cryptocaryon (marine Ich), and Oodinium. Malachite Green works effectively against common external fungal infections of fishes and eggs which include Achlya and Saprolegnia. An extensive body of literature supports its use as an effective agent in the control of fungus on fish eggs.

GUIDE TO USE:
5g for 100L of water. For serious illnesses, consider increasing dosage gradually.
Quarantine the fish for 3 days. Water changes to 1/3 before using it. Stop feeding during the treatment and 25% water change daily.
